The Habit Isn't the Problem. The Identity Underneath It Is.

Why willpower keeps failing you, and what actually has to change first.

You Can't Think Your Way Into a New Life. You Have to Become Someone New First.

Why more information and more willpower were never going to be enough.

A Note From the Elite VIP Circle Editorial Team: This article has been rewritten and expanded from our archive to reflect Elite VIP Circle's current editorial standards. The core topic remains the same; the guidance below is new.
Woman looking at her reflection thoughtfully

You've read the books. You know exactly what you're supposed to do differently. And yet, somehow, you keep ending up back in the same version of yourself — the one who overthinks, over-gives, or plays small — as if knowledge alone was ever going to be enough to change it.

It isn't, because you're not fighting a lack of information. You're fighting a familiar identity that your brain and body have rehearsed thousands of times, and familiarity, to a nervous system, reads as safety — even when it's making you miserable.

Why thinking differently isn't the same as being different

You can understand a pattern completely and still keep living it, because understanding happens in your thinking mind while the pattern itself runs on autopilot, in the parts of you that were shaped years before you had the vocabulary to question them. Insight is the beginning. It was never going to be the whole job.

Worth sitting with:

1. What do I keep understanding intellectually but not actually changing?

2. Who would I have to practice being, not just think like, to change it?

3. What's one small action today that only that new version of me would take?

Becoming, before believing

Real change tends to work backwards from how we assume it does. You don't think your way into confidence and then act confidently. You act — in small, repeated, sometimes uncomfortable ways — and the belief catches up afterward, built from the evidence of what you actually did. Waiting to feel like a different person before acting like one keeps the old identity firmly in place.

This is exactly the kind of identity-level work we walk through inside the 7-Day Self-Worth Reset — a free plan for women ready to build new evidence, not just new intentions.

Start the 7-Day Self-Worth Reset — Free

A short daily plan to help you practice being the woman you're becoming, not just think about her.

What this looks like this week

Pick one pattern you understand perfectly but keep repeating. Instead of trying to think your way out of it again, choose one small action only your future self would take, and do it today — before you feel ready, before you feel like her yet. The feeling follows the evidence, not the other way round.

A book worth reading on this:

Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself by Dr Joe Dispenza — a deep look at the science of why we stay stuck as our old selves, and exactly how to become someone new.

You already know what to do. Knowing was never the missing piece — becoming is.

Finding Your Purpose: How Listening to Yourself Can Change Your Life

Self-Trust

Finding Your Purpose: How Listening to Yourself Can Change Your Life

Most of us don't lose our sense of direction in one dramatic moment. We lose it gradually, one borrowed goal at a time, until we're standing in a life we built carefully and still don't recognise.

There's a particular kind of disorientation that has nothing to do with failure. You've done everything right. You built the career, kept the promises, showed up for the people who needed you. And somewhere in the middle of doing it all competently, a quieter question started surfacing: is this actually mine, or is it just what I was supposed to want?

If Only You Believe - Why It Matters

Human nature may be defined by two groups, those whose focus is on the probabilities in life and those who dare to focus on the possibilities. The possibility group is always focused on what can be possible while the probability group denies the existence of anything they cannot see, touch or test. For many in the latter group extraordinary events, even miracles are often pooh poohed and mocked. Impossible, they say! And for them it may be.
Our planet has recently entered the outer bands of multi-dimensional energy. The possibility believers will notice the changes first. Things that others called impossible begin to manifest before their eyes! Information and events they have longed for and dreamed of can soon become reality as cures to difficult diseases seem to appear in totally unexpected ways. Information will arrive to those who are seeking answers even though they may not recognize the source, they simply know this may work; and it will. Aging will be dramatically slowed, not by fancy products but by people who learn to move into this new energy. Life spans will be lengthened while the quality of life is greatly enhanced. The physician within will be heard and acknowledged. All these possibilities are likely to be deemed as nonsense, impossible even, by those probability believers. Why does it matter what you believe?
Look carefully at events that have transpired in your own life. Look closely at events that happened to others, events that caused you to search deeply for how it could have happened. Those are the times you were confronted by the differences in what you believe. Colonel Sanders is a great example. This senior citizen may have been the only believer in possibilities, yet he persevered forward to become a household name. The same is true of Mary Kay, a host of artists, authors and even world leaders. Their legacy is defined by what they were willing to believe; they became a part of the rich history of world events. Imagine how different history would have been written if not for these possibility believers!
What is the real difference in these two groups? Probability believers are severely limited to what they can achieve or become in life. Everyone's opportunities in life are limited to what they can accept as reality, now or in the future. Those who rebuff possibilities are limited to what they already know, what they already believe is possible. Their focus does not extend beyond 'practicality' unless they are forced to seek a miracle. This often happens in doctors' offices and hospitals where the unthinkable has arrived on their horizon and crashed into their lives. No one knows anything that can help a desperate situation and suddenly, they look beyond the probabilities which are unacceptable.
People who are creative and in touch with harmony and the energy around them are the strongest examples of possibility believers and they affect our lives. They are always on a quest for something new; a new design, a new idea, a new way forward. They can become strong problem solvers because they routinely look beyond the obvious. Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison are among the more famous of those who affected our world because they dared to believe in what might be possible.
If you are willing to remove the self-imposed limits on what might be possible, dispose of the idea that others may find you frivolous or uninformed, you will be poised to take a leap of faith directly into energy that is more magical than we ever dared believe! Obstacles can easily be disposed of while solutions arrive unexpectedly. Miracle shall follow miracle and wonders shall never cease, if only you can believe.

Uncover Why You Want It

I have been researching over 94 super achievers over the past five years. My research has led me to a number of very interesting hypotheses regarding the characteristics, personality traits, philosophies and behaviours, they all possess. My objective has been to try to understand why some people achieve greatness. Yet more talented people, with so much pent-up potential, just seem to keep spinning their wheels throughout their lives and never seem to achieve anything meaningful. My research, so far, has revealed some interesting results to me.
Characteristics common to Super Achievers
  1. Vision
Without exception, every one of them had a crystal clear picture of exactly what they want to achieve in the future and when asked to describe it, they passionately look up to the right and deliver a passionate, description, of this picture of possibility, as though they have already achieved it. There is not even a moment's pause, as they easily describe what they see in the future. Can you describe and articulate your vision as easily? If you are not clear on what you want, then the way your future will turn out, is out of your hands and will be left to the whims of the world and those around you. Do you want to surrender your future to chance and have no control over how things will turn out? Wrestle back control of your life right now, by clarifying the direction you want it to go by, describing your vision for the future.

  2. Belief
The second characteristic, which I observed in every super achiever, was an unwavering belief in their own ability to achieve their vision. When asked a series of questions about the possibility of living their vision. Without exception every one of them believed that they had what it took or they could acquire the knowledge or support they needed from someone who did. There was not a shadow of doubt in their minds that they would achieve their vision in the future. How do you feel about yourself? Do you have what it takes to achieve greatness or are you constantly engaged in negative self-talk, where you constantly doubt yourself and your abilities? Building belief is a process and is not something, which will happen in a day. If you get support to help you build your self-belief, self-esteem and are 100 % committed to your future success. You can gradually build your crucial self-belief, to a point where it will support you to achieve the picture of possibility, you have envisioned for the future.

  3. Commitment to Life-Long learning
As Jim Rohn said, "A formal education will get you a job, a commitment to lifelong learning, will make you a fortune" Without exception, every super achiever, I have researched was committed to their personal growth. They were almost like sponges, always looking for ways to grow and improve. They did not only read and/or listen to audio books, attend seminars etc. They were committed to grow every day, and it was so inspiring to be around them and to observe the hunger for knowledge. They were constantly asking questions, exploring, observing and consciously storing away any new lessons or experiences they had each day. How much time do you invest into your personal development every day? I cannot say when you will start to see remarkable results start to unfold in your life. But I can confidently say that if you invest a minimum of 2 hours a day into your personal development and growth, you will over time, exponentially increase your pace of progress and attract incredible levels of success to yourself.

  4. Work Ethic
Success in whatever form it may come is the result of consistent hard work, persistence and patience. Every one of the super achievers I have researched worked tirelessly every day on their success. Not one of them had any unique talent, unusual ability or social advantage. They were clear all just very clear on what they wanted, believed in their abilities, constantly worked to improve their knowledge, worked really hard and knew why they wanted to achieve greatness. How hard are you willing to work? Does the thought of giving up some of your leisure time scare you? If you want to achieve the meaning and fulfilment you have only dreamt about until now. Accept that it is going to require work, do the tough stuff daily and the doors of possibility burst open on a future of wonder. Commit to do what it takes, be clear about what and why you want, believe it is possible for you to achieve it and "NO-THING" is beyond the realm of possibility for you.

  5. Why do you want it?
All the super achievers also had absolute clarity about why they wanted to achieve their vision. The reasons ranged from significance, to legacy, to helping and supporting others, etc. All their reasons why they wanted to achieve greatness were focused on things greater than themselves. Yes, all of them at one stage or other had been driven by selfish, self-interest. But without exception, they all stated that, as soon as they changed their focus from self and instead focused on others or a reason greater than themselves, their whole world changed and greatness flowed in. What is your reason why you want to achieve anything meaningful with your life? Uncover your reason why and everything just gets easier. Even when the inevitable challenges do come your way, you will have the drive, passion and deep rooted inspiration, to support you to mitigate or overcome all of them.

  6. Love What you do
The other area where the super achievers really stood out, for me, was that they loved what they did. They woke up every day excited by the prospect of their day, anticipating the challenges and rewards it would bring. Do you love what you do, or are you waking up every day wondering how you will get through the day, week or year. Learn the art of loving what you do and you will have uncovered an incredible secret to success.

Example:
My Purpose and Vision
To live, to love, to be mega happy, consistently growing, helping millions of people invite similar levels of meaning and fulfilment into their own experience, for the greater good of all concerned.
Action Idea: Invest a little time today to think about all the above characteristics. Explore your own characteristics, to see how you can sculpture or mould your own so they can become more prevalent. You are a super achiever, the only person, who does not believe it is "YOU"

Create Harmonizing Thoughts

As much as you would like to think otherwise and blame your circumstances or the people around you, the outcomes or results you experience in your life, are the result of only one person - "YOU". As James Allen so aptly said in his book, titled "As a Man Thinketh", "A Person is the causer (though nearly always unconsciously) of his circumstances, and that, whilst aiming at the good end, he is continually frustrating its accomplishment by encouraging thoughts and desires which cannot possibly harmonize with that end."
Great Example
In his book, As a Man Thinketh, James Allen offers an example to support his philosophy as stated above. He tells the story of a very wealthy man, with a very gluttonous demeanour, who suffers from a very painful disease. He spends large sums of money to try to get well and to try to find a cure, when all he needed to do was to change his bad glutinous habits. The wealthy man can never achieve good health and get rid of the disease; irrespective of how much money he spends. Until he aligns his desires and brings them into harmony with good health he seeks.
Have you uncovered your desires?
Are your desires aligned and in harmony with the outcomes you want to achieve. You can never achieve anything meaningful, unless you find a way to align what you want, with your beliefs, values and thoughts. You are creating your circumstances all the time, with your beliefs, thoughts and actions or lack thereof. Your belief around what you think or believe you deserve to achieve, is what determines what action you are willing to take and more importantly, they may also cause you to sabotage your own efforts too.
When you start to achieve success, which is outside of what you believe possible for you or, which pulls you out of your self-imposed comfort zone. You will subconsciously sabotage yourself. Sounds really crazy, that someone would sabotage himself or herself, but it is a well-researched fact that people subconsciously sabotage their efforts, when they are pulled out of what is familiar or comfortable. Explore your own belief system right now. Can you think of a time when you unconsciously stood in your own way or sabotaged your own efforts? I am certain you can think of quite a few.

Do you believe that Attitude is everything?
I am sure you can relate to the story above, about the wealthy businessman. Where you have experienced similar circumstances, you want things to change, but you are not willing to change the things, which will help you to achieve the result or change you want. Unless you get out of your own way and change your attitude, behaviour and habits, you will never escape the place where you live right now. I have spent so much time in my own life, desperately wanting to remove certain negative circumstances from my own life, while thinking thoughts, taking actions and retaining the habits, which resulted in the circumstances in the first place. You can never change anything, unless you find a way to align your thoughts, actions and habits, with the outcome you want to achieve.
You can Change your thought patterns
A few years ago I made a new year's resolution. I was committed to spend more quality time with my family. I enthusiastically laid out a schedule of activities, which we would do together. I was very excited by the prospect of spending more time with the people I loved so dearly. The plan I had laid out and all my good intentions put me in line, for winning the father of the year prize that year.
Let it suffice to say, that had there been a top dad competition that year, I would have placed stone last. Despite my good intentions, I had not changed my thought patterns, habits or actions at all. I got wrapped up in running my businesses, justifying my need to be present all the time. I constantly found good reasons to justify why could not to meet my commitment. I had paid lip service towards spending time with my family, but had not changed the habitual thoughts and actions, which had kept me away from my family in the first place.
As you know - Circumstances don't change you do
I am sure you have heard the saying that goes, "If you want things to change, you need to change" Nothing can or will change in your life, until you change the things, which brought those circumstances about in the first place. You need to harmonize, your thinking, habits and actions, with the results you want to achieve. To think any differently, is to be as foolish as the wealthy man described earlier, who wanted change, but would not change his own behaviour, which was the root cause of the problem in the first place.
See it when you believe it
Wayne Dyer, is one of the most enlightened people I have ever met. He said it so well, when he said, "Work each day on your thoughts rather than concentrating on your behaviour. It is your thinking that creates the feelings you have and ultimately your actions as well."
Explore your drive, passion and excitement. Try to uncover and discover the thoughts, habits and actions, which are necessary to support you to achieve your vision. Once you have discovered these three crucial elements for success, the rest will seem easy. Remember that "Nothing ever happens to you, things happen because of you"

Why A Growth Mindset Is Essential For Entrepreneurs

If you're wondering how mindset development is essential for your newly developing business or practice, read on my friend. By the same token, if you've already grown your business to the place you want - never mind - Just go relax in a hammock beside the sea on your favorite tropical island! Most of the best entrepreneurs who have begun the journey of living their dreams are simply being and doing more of who they are.
And on this journey all of us must come face to face with a dangerous tiger, an edge, and an obstacle of some sort. Often, we aren't even aware of the real problem we are facing, let alone how we might begin to move through it. Unfortunately we usually don't mind staying warm and cozy inside our "fixed mindsets". It's so much easier to think the way we've always thought and do what we've always done.
But, the only way to achieve goals is to move into the "growth mindset" zone. So what is a growth mindset, anyway? A very forward-thinking educator, Stanford Professor Carol Dweck, writes about this in her 2006 book, Mindset: The New Psychology of Success. Carol categorizes two very different poles on the mindset spectrum, and characterizes our basic ideas about how we see ourselves:
  • When operating from a fixed mindset, "your qualities are carved in stone." In this place your capabilities and possibilities seem finite and are coming from a place of lack. From this point of view you see your qualities and skills as predetermined. You believe that you will continue to lack what you need to go beyond where you already are. While coming from this fixed mindset you also apply this thinking to the qualities others have, and tend to limit your ability to learn from what others have to teach.

  • Once you adopt a growth mindset, "your basic qualities are things you can cultivate through your efforts...everyone can change and grow through application and experience." Of course one's basic intelligence is a starting point, but success comes as a result of effort, learning, and persistence. From a growth mindset perspective, we are always in the "beginners mind" zone, eager to learn and grow, confident that we have all we need within ourselves and the world around us to achieve our goals.
As you are becoming more and more "smart" as an entrepreneur you must develop an awareness of which mindset you are coming from. This will allow you to expand your thinking habits to be able to just "be with" whatever arises. What happens when we become more of an observer of our thoughts is that we plant seeds of confidence. As our confidence develops it grows into curiosity. And soon our business project is moving along very rapidly, sometimes going in strange directions we never would have expected. When we gear towards growth and expansion we open what I call the "heart mind" (more about this in another post). This is a place in which we become more and more compassionate towards ourselves and others as we practice curiosity towards everything - the good, bad and indifferent. When we have this "don't know mindset" amazing possibilities start to emerge. Even the hardships and stresses we meet in the process of being in the moment become graciously accepted as teachers on our path.
In a way, while living inside a growth mindset the goal is not really "where it's at"! The present moment real-life predicaments we find ourselves in are juicy fodder for our "growth mindset". And as we simply allow each moment to unfold, being fully present with it, our own inner wise mind will teach us invaluable lessons. Once you see that you are operating from a possibility mindset, you can quickly move way out there on that limb where many new ideas and connections will manifest for you. This occurs when you have entered into the "growth mindset" zone.
Mindset development is essential for smart entrepreneurs who wish to grow their business to greater heights. In other posts I will offer exercises and strategies for building a bridge to a growth mindset. In the meantime, just remember - choosing to stay in the comfortable fixed mindset zone is mighty dangerous for your business. Discovering ways to increase your awareness of being either in a fixed or a growth mindset is crucial - not only to getting more business, but in living your dreams, period.
You see, having the proper mindset not only determines what we perceive in "the world out there" but it either limits or expands our ability to see possibilities in the first place! I invite you to begin to look for the unusual and unexpected connections you are making.
Perhaps you can become a bit more curious about how these seemingly accidental events relate to the growth of your business and your mindset. And, if you really want to walk the smart entrepreneur's tightrope, give yourself the challenge of doing, thinking or being in some small way, a little bit different, at least once a week. I'll let you figure out your own definition of "different" - but make a weekly habit of it. It will work wonders for your business!

How To Create A Productive Mindset

When it comes to create a productive mindset, a lot of us seem to have the hardest time. Most people get into procrastination mode which is usually an easier choice but is the habit of putting off what you want to start. Therefore, how you can win the battle to build a fruitful frame of mind?
But what is a productive mindset? And what occurs when your intentions to get things done are crumbling? How does it happen? What can you do to focus on what is essential to your progress?
We all have experienced this before. I am no stranger to it. You have the feeling like you are running around and being busy all the time. You spend all day working and doing things, but at the end of the day, you look back and realize that you have done very little. It appears that of the ten different tasks you wanted to complete, you achieved only two or three of them.
Well, it often happens because of your mindset not being established in the right way. To have a productive mindset is to make the best use of your combined resources, time, energy, and efforts. Being productive is something you and I strive to realize.
I said it numerous times in other articles but let me repeat it; your mindset is everything. It is the groundwork for every achievement, victory, and success in your life. So, it is necessary for you to cultivate a productive mindset. If I am saying this, it is because if you want to reach your goals, you need to create an efficient set of mind.
First Steps to a Productive Mindset
As you know, each of us is different, so it is quite important that you structure your day in a way that works for you. First of all, you should observe your daily routine and be honest with yourself by looking if you do have a productive mindset or if you are just being busy, and correct that.
To be productive means that you are clear minded and focused on what you want to accomplish. It also means that you are using all of your resources to achieve your goals profitably. The next step involves morning habits that would help you get more done through the day.
To continue creating a productive mindset, you have to choose which vital assignment to start doing when you sit down for work. You have to make the right choices so you can kick off your day with dynamic momentum.
Primary Elements of a Productive Mindset
How productive your mindset often begins with your thoughts and habits. You always must start your day by being grateful for what is about to start. Always be ready for possibilities. Plans often change or get rescheduled leaving you with some free time.
Rather than being upset about it or feeling let down, use this time to read a chapter of a book, or listen to an audiobook. Each afternoon, I walk for two hours and during that time I hear some audiobook to educate myself. You could also make some calls, or write a thank you note.
You must have the willingness to know and learn new things. And it is also a great way to get your day back on track. But let me show you some of the primary elements of a productive mindset.
Vision and the Productive Mindset
You have to picture what you want and visualize it. It helps you focus and gives you an ideal image of what the outcome could look like. Without a picture in your mind, it is quite challenging to have the productive mindset to achieve a goal. People with a vision can accomplish what seems impossible.
Inspire Your Frame of Mind
You have to cultivate and motivate your mindset for it to be productive. Without motivation or inspiration, there is nothing to drive you to set goals, apply, improve and make progress. Inaction and procrastination destroy any improvement you wish to make or dream you want to realize.
Self-confidence is a Mindset
You have to believe that you are capable of doing what you set your mind to do. Self-confidence can help you reach your full potential and a more productive mindset. Stress is a natural reaction, so you have to relax by taking a deep breath and a small reflective pause. Then refocus on the day ahead. It will give you greater confidence.
Methods for a Prolific Mindset
In today's world, our mind runs through a list of dozens of things simultaneously. Some of those things keep us living in the future, while memories, good or bad, retain us in the past. Yet, to create a productive mindset is to live in the beauty of the present.
Be in the present. Focus and fully engage in whatever essential task you have to assure your best work and quality. Here are some essential productivity methods to create a prolific mindset.
Having Positive Outlook
In creating a productive mindset, your attitude has to be positive rather than negative, because it can make you or break you. When you have a positive outlook, it allows room for opportunity and option, while having a negative attitude defeat your frame of mind before you even begin.
A Productive Mindset is Being Persistent
Most of us know that the path to success does not come easily. So, you have to be persistent and willing to overcome any barrier or adversity coming your way. Push yourself beyond your limits and persist to achieve your goals. Do not let setbacks, circumstances, or even the opinions of others influence your actions and your determination to become successful.
Refreshing Your Mindset
To experience a productive mindset, you have to be at your best. That means you have to take care of yourself. Getting some rest and enough sleep each night is essential. You have to eat right and give yourself a few small breaks during the day. And you should always be aware of how you feel.
Tips to Create a Productive Mindset
  • Write a to-do list for the day the night before. It will help you keep focusing on what you need to get done so that you will have a more productive mindset.
  • Get enough sleep, because if you do not, your fatigue will eat away at your productivity. A lack of sleep has an apparent impact on any mental performance.
  • Be motivated as it is a crucial element in working towards your goals. You need to have something that is pulling you towards achieving the success you want in life.
  • Start your work with the most essential task. It is an excellent approach if you have the discipline to see to it.
  • Cultivate the persistence to keep going, even when it is hard. To be persistent and never giving up is essential to any long-term success.
  • Always hold a mental picture of the vision of the life that you want for yourself. It is that vision that will guide you and help you to create a more productive mindset through your day.
  • Control your attitude and how you feel about things, no matter the circumstances. Even if you feel like you cannot control outside factors, you should positively view everything as it is an absolute necessity.
  • Create a routine that helps you awaken your brain and mind, give you motivation and shows you a clear picture of your vision.
  • Have an evening routine. Following the same ritual every evening, such as making yourself a caffeine-free hot drink, brushing your teeth, then dressing for bed, helps you get into the right state of mind for sleep.
  • Take time to regenerate, recharge and refresh. That way, you will always keep a productive mindset.

A Final Word of a Fruitful Mindset
Finally, whether you are already committed, wandering on the path of least resistance or basking in the waters of procrastination, you now have different tools to be more productive. To be productive means that you are doing what you said you would do, and usually in a specific time frame.
Observe and check your habits and routines, and then create a productive mindset to get more done in a day. I know you can and will achieve more. So set yourself up to be successful with a prosperous start by following these simple methods.

Growing Through A Life Transition

  1. Wanting to change or improve a certain aspect of your life.
  2. Wanting a major overhaul or being impacted to reflect a major life overhaul.
  3. Accepting change and planning for what you want.
  4. Focusing on what could go wrong.
  5. Resisting the change and staying numb.
  6. Growing with the change and having the right support for success and happiness.
Being connected to what you want naturally enables you to reach out for what you want.

Being disconnected from what you want leaves you to fulfil the needs of everyone around you.
How you exist for yourself and with others is a balanced act.
Knowing what you want and deciding to take action to reach for what you want empowers you.
Not knowing what you want and agreeing with everyone around you as they take decisions on your behalf sets you up for a trap.
I am not referring to co-dependency where 2 people merge and uniqueness is lost. I am referring to being in charge and responsible for your life. I mean all of it.
If you don't know what you want or what you need how are you ever going to know when you are fulfilled, satisfied and happy?
If you give the responsibility of your life to another person to make you happy and to make sure that you are on track affectionately or financially I have one question for you.
What will you do when this person will no longer be there?
The reality is that separations, divorces and deaths are part of life.
When a person is impacted by another person's decision or by an unfortunate situation it does weaken their esteem. No doubt.
When a person takes a decision he or she is empowered because it is a choice. Having taken the decision makes a person feel in control. If the decision was taken from ignorance or a disconnected place there will be regrets.
When the decision is taken from an unshakeable place within the person is aligned with life. The path ahead is cleared up and it is struggle free. I am not saying obstacle free. Struggling and overcoming an obstacle are different in their energy. A struggle will take its energy from the ego and it will leave you feeling tired. On the other hand an obstacle will call on the muscle of courage and faith and with the right community support the obstacle will be surpassed.
In both of these cases, whether a person took the decision or was impacted by the decision of another person, are both a beginning of a transition.
For the person that took a decision the change makes sense. This person will feel in control.
For the person that was impacted it does not make sense. This person will not feel in control.
Both situations will have their share of stress or worry.
What are life transitions?
  • Being born
  • Being single transitioning to living as a couple
  • Living as a couple transitioning to being single
  • Being a mother or father transitioning to family expansion
  • Expanded family transitioning to living alone or living with a spouse (grown children leaving home / split family from separation or divorce)
  • Being unemployed transitioning to working
  • Working transitioning to another job and adapting to a new environment
  • Being employed transitioning to being a business owner
  • Business owner transitioning through business expansion
  • Working or owning a business transitioning to retirement
  • Retirement transitioning to leisure activities or to never retiring
  • Dying and living in another dimension

Transitions are part of the natural stages of life.
Transformations that makes sense for you asks you to believe in yourself through resilience capitalizing on all the victories you have had up to this point in your life.
